2010 CAPiTA Snowboards
For the 2009/2010 snowboard season Design Cartel worked with CAPiTA and the Elan Snowboard Factory to produce life like 3D renderings of CAPiTA’s new snowboard line. These renderings were used in marketing and promotional material as an alternative to traditional photography. The process dramatically saved time and money, and removed the need for the factory to produce time consuming limited run samples along with shipping and photo studio costs / lead times.
Each snowboard was accurately reproduced in 3D CAD from 2D CAD drawings. Material finishes were assigned and CAPiTA’s graphics were accurately applied and positioned. Once each board was set up, a life like photo studio environment was created with lighting and camera angles.
